Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. About Us

These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and the services provided by FS Construction Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, operating from London. By engaging our services or using our website you agree to these terms.

2. Our Services

FS Construction Group Ltd provides construction, refurbishment, renovation and related services across London. All services are subject to a written quotation and agreement between both parties before work commences.

We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion.

3. Quotations

All quotations provided by FS Construction Group Ltd are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quotation does not constitute a contract - work will only commence once both parties have agreed to the scope, price and programme in writing.

Quotations are based on information provided at the time. Any changes to the agreed scope of works may result in additional costs which will be agreed in writing before proceeding.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be set out in your individual contract or quotation. Standard terms are as follows:

  • A deposit may be required prior to works commencing
  • Interim payments may be required on larger projects at agreed stages
  • Final payment is due upon practical completion of the works
  • All invoices are payable within 14 days of issue unless otherwise agreed
  • Late payments may be subject to interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998

5. Variations

Any variations to the agreed scope of works must be agreed in writing by both parties before being carried out. Verbal instructions will not be accepted as authorisation for additional works. Any agreed variations will be charged in addition to the original contract sum.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding the project
  • Ensure access to the property at agreed times
  • Obtain all necessary planning permissions and consents prior to works commencing unless otherwise agreed
  • Notify us immediately of any concerns during the works
  • Make payments in accordance with the agreed terms

7. Our Responsibilities

FS Construction Group Ltd agrees to:

  • Carry out all works with reasonable skill and care
  • Comply with all relevant Building Regulations and legal requirements
  • Maintain adequate public liability insurance throughout the works
  • Keep the client informed of progress and any issues that arise
  • Leave the site in a clean and safe condition upon completion

8. Insurance

FS Construction Group Ltd holds public liability insurance. Details of our insurance can be provided upon request. We strongly recommend that clients notify their own buildings and contents insurer before any construction works commence.

9. Defects & Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. Any defects that arise from our workmanship within 12 months of practical completion will be rectified at no additional cost to the client, provided the defect is not due to misuse, accidental damage or third party interference.

This warranty does not cover materials or products supplied by the client or third parties.

10. Delays

We will make every effort to complete works within the agreed programme. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control including adverse weather, material shortages, unforeseen site conditions or client-requested changes. We will notify the client as soon as possible of any anticipated delay.

11. Cancellation

If the client wishes to cancel agreed works, written notice must be provided. The client may be liable for costs already incurred including materials ordered, labour booked and any reasonable loss of profit. The amount due will be calculated fairly based on the stage of the project at the time of cancellation.

12. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter amicably in the first instance. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be referred to an independent adjudicator or mediator before any legal proceedings are commenced.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
